Trimble extends its FleetXps mobile solution at LogiMAT 2013

To increase the depth of its mobile telematic solutions, Trimble is now adding a bar code scanner and the capability to capture digital signatures to its Android app FleetXps. The company, which has its German headquarters in Münster, will also present all its other new solutions for integrated fleet management at Stand 535, Hall 5 of LogiMAT 2013 in Stuttgart between 19 and 21 February.

"The sales of FleetXps demonstrate a growing demand for mobile telematic solutions, particularly from courier, express and parcel service providers. We want to provide them with more options," says Carsten Holtrup, General Manager of Trimble Transport & Logistics Deutschland.  The company is presenting an integrated bar code scanner function and the capability to capture digital signatures at LogiMAT 2013. These features will simplify shipping management. All the user needs for these functions is a commercially available smartphone with a camera.

The new telematic application FleetXps provides comprehensive functionalities such as the transmission and reception of order and status reports and activity capture and GPS location in real time. A simple series of questions also guides the driver through the time recording and registration of the activities performed. "That makes FleetXps an ideal complement to our CarCube onboard computer," says Carsten Holtrup. These and all other newcomers to Trimble's range of solutions can be seen between 19 and 21 February at Stand 535, Hall 5 of the upcoming LogiMAT 2013 in Stuttgart
