Transport SME Bonnier equips its 15 vehicles with CarCubes

Family business Bonnier, which transports new vehicles, construction materials and earthworks, has chosen Punch Telematix to equip its fleet of 15 lorries. CarCube on-board computers were fitted in all its vehicles during the month of March 2010. Manager Jean-Philippe Massart explains his investment: "Our customers are becoming more and more demanding and legislation is becoming tighter. On-board computers have become essential to all companies. We are hoping to save time, avoid wasted mileage and gain better control of the work of our drivers, in other words become more profitable".

The reasons for choosing Punch

Jean-Philippe Massart was impressed with the sales approach of Punch Telematix, where they listened to his requirements: "There were two reasons for our choice of supplier: the quality/price ratio and the ability of the Punch Telematix technology to interface with our existing system. Whereas other manufacturers push you to install their applications, which they sell at a high price, Punch Telematix proved to be very flexible. We were able to interface the on-board computers with our IG-Soft Transoft management software quite easily. The objective was to create transport orders on Transoft and send them directly to the CarCubes. Then, after a driver validates a delivery, the information is shown in real-time on the planning view, which has enabled us to improve the information flow. The accounts department receives invoices more quickly and, as for me, I have more accurate control over my sales figures."

Michel van Maercke, CEO of Punch Telematix, is very happy with this new customer: "Bonnier is our first vehicle transport customer. We're pleased to be supporting Jean-Philippe Massart in optimising his operational activities".
