Despite an economic headwind, Dutch transporters continue to make strong investments in information and communication technology for trucks, such as on-board computers. This equipment can help improve operational efficiency as well as customer service. A number of transporters have recently chosen to acquire or update Trimble’s CarCube, including Van den Broek Logistics, Van Houte Openeer, Alphatrans, Verwaal Transport, Westdijk Transport, Wesseling Transport, D.J. Middelkoop, Rensink Almelo, Otten Hoogeveen, Heitink Transport, Van Driegroep (Navobi) Ermelo and Koos van Gaalen (Poeldijk).
Key factors which contributed to Trimble’s top rating were its global presence, its increasing subscriber base, its ability to address multiple vertical sectors, strong technological innovation in its service and hardware offerings, plus its secure financial position.

Trimble Transport & Logistics presents several new features of the FleetCockpit. Trips or via-points offer dispatchers a good view of the various tasks for one trip. The ‘Corridoring’ function allows both schedulers and drivers to view the route a transport should follow. To have a better control of the costs of transports, a digital representation of the route has been combined with the ‘Ecotaxe’. The advantage of this for companies is that they are shown for which routes they have to pay.
