Lanfer Logistik GmbH, a logistics service provider, has equipped its fleet with Trimble’s innovative Transport & Logistics telematics solutions. Trimble's CarCube telematics system was installed in 340 of the Meppen-based company's tractors. Lanfer has also implemented Trimble's FleetWorks and FleetCockpit back office applications. The Meppen-based logistics specialist's goal is to significantly increase the productivity of its transport division.
Cheyns is an electrical wholesaler in Belgium with 10 subsidiaries. The company has its own transport service, which supports an end-to-end professional service. To improve its transport efficiency, Cheyns has relied on the CarCube on-board computer from Trimble for over 10 years. Now, Cheyns is equipping its fleet with Trimble’s mobile FleetXPS on-board computers. This is to improve insight into the delivery process and to respond even more proactively to customers’ needs.

Maszoński Logistic is dedicated to providing international haulage services in the Western, Northern and Southern Europe using 100 – 120 cubed meter capacity vehicles. The cooperation between Maszoński Logistic and Trimble began five years ago. The initial decision to select Trimble’s telematic solution was based on a variety of factors such as product innovation, easy and intuitive handling and an option to integrate with the company’s Transportation Management System (TMS) already in operation. In addition, the telematics solution was subjected to a detailed operation cost-related analysis. Recently, an agreement was concluded to extend this cooperation for subsequent years.
The mobile FleetXPS onboard computer from Trimble Transport & Logistics, a leading provider of transport management solutions for transport and logistics companies, is included in the latest edition of DesignX50. DesignX50 is a platform in book form which combines the most innovative products and case studies from the region Kortrijk-Ieper-Roeselare-Tielt. For the fifth edition of the book a DesignX50 Label was awarded to 50 innovative and creative products. FleetXPS received the label for its high technology, robust and extremely user-friendly design.
Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced today that it has been ranked as the No.1 telematics service provider in ABI Research's 2015 Commercial Telematics Competitive Assessment for a third consecutive year. The annual survey was assessed based on a variety of "implementation" and "innovation" criteria where Trimble ranked as the top provider for both, which included market share of subscribers, vertical segmentation, quality and reliability, range of product features and organization health. The survey analyzed 20 global vendors serving the commercial telematics industry.
To update its fleet management processes, Wolfsburg-based Schnellecke Logistics GmbH has selected innovative transport and logistics telematics solutions from Trimble. All of the Schnellecke transport division's truck units are being equipped with the Trimble telematics system: fitting each lorry with the FleetXPS mobile on-board computer and the integrated Truck4U on-board unit. The company's aim is to digitalise communication and coordination flows between its drivers and schedulers, as well as generate benefits in terms of reduced administration and greater efficiency.
Trimble introduced new features in its Trimble Performance Portal that allows transport and logistics companies to map out more essential data in order to save fuel. Understanding fuel consumption requires insight into driving behavior as well as the circumstances or type of driving that is performed. With this in mind, Trimble has expanded its analysis tool by adding a Company Performance and Truck Performance Module to its Performance Portal. This combination gives transportation and logistics companies the opportunity to record, understand and manage its fuel consumption more efficiently.
