Collaboration with Punch Telematix extended until 2014. St. van den Brink ‘leaner & greener’ with CarCube Driving Style Wizard and Truck Navigation.
Thanks to the carrier’s positive experiences with the CarCube onboard computer and its productive cooperation with Punch Telematix, last week St. van den Brink extended its contract with Punch Telematix until 2014. “We have already had a good relationship with Punch Telematix since 2007. They are reliable partners who think out solutions along with us and continuously develop the on-board computer,” said Gerrit Jan Mulder, finance director at St. van den Brink in Ermelo.
Mulder is very happy with the Punch Telematix Driving Style Analysis and Truck Navigation systems. St. van den Brink was one of the first carriers to install the new Punch Telematix truck navigation system in its 200 trucks used for supplying well-known supermarket and retail chains.
Lower CO2 emissions thanks to CarCube
St. van den Brink also uses the FMS reporting system and the Driving Style Wizard on the CarCube to reduce consumption and hence CO2 emissions. Besides investing in cleaner and more economical equipment plus introducing LHL’s and alternative fuels, for St. van den Brink this is another important step in ‘Lean & Green’ transport, the Connekt programme that encourages companies to grow towards a higher level of sustainability.
“With the Driving Style Wizard our drivers stay alert to their consumption, which helps reduce costs and CO2 emissions. The truck navigation system also ensures that they reach their destinations in the most efficient way,” says Mulder.
